Q&A: "Superior" or "Superiorland"
Many readers have commented that original calls for secession called for the creation of a state called "Superior", not "Superiorland". The SISU (Support Independence for SUperiorland) movement recognizes that previous attempts at statehood have been made but also points out that these attemps were half-hearted and not really serious. To continue to advocate for "Superior" state would only marginalize the SISU movement.
SISU has a plan. A plan that will allow Superiorland to suceed where Superior did not. We will roll out this plan in stages and take public comment from fellow SISU members.

Will this be a violent succession? Because if so, I'm in.

I think you missed the mark for the official beer of Superiorland...

even Sisu wouldn't be a bad name.

I don't think it makes any difference what the name would be. The big thing is that the people have to really back their cause and work for their new state. I mean, the name could be Northeast Wisconsin and it could become a state if the people really fight for it (not really physically, Angry Engineer).
Though I think Superiorland sounds like one of those fantasy worlds, and Superior more real

State Superior (like Lake Superior) is a far superior title; Superiorland sounds like a ride it Disneyland
Antimony as the 51st element (for the 51st state) might have been a good state mineral, but it in no way matches copper as the state mineral. Mannerheim House may be a good name for any future State Assembly.
Promotional "tat" like t-shirts with "State Superior", the state flag (maybe incorporating a Scandinavian off-centre cross etc) on a copper colored T-shirt could be sold on lime and at local stores.
Using the term "Scandimerican" to describe the culture and ethnicity of the surrounding Great Lake populations (as compared to "Afro-American" or "Hispano-American" or whatever phrase Latinos use).
Hope this has been a worth while contribution of an outsider from Lanashire, England?

Sorry some stupid typo errors on last post.
Should read: LANCASHIRE England
Should read: ride AT Disneyland
Should read: sold on-LINE
Otherwise, good luck with campaign
